Apple Picking in Québec (Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly)

I was travelling in the province of Québec and I discovered this incredible apple orchard and bed & breakfast. I remember that place being poor and people being on welfare. So to me it was a pleasure to find that apple-growing and picking business there being so successful. People from cities go to that place to pick apples and it`s almost like a tradition now, something very trendy. Parents are bringing their kids and making it a special annual event. It`s very refreshing to see how people take their food seriously and they want their kids to see how apples are growing from the seed to the fruit. Perhaps, in the future our kids will be more inclined to buy fresh organic locally-grown food.
